About the Artist
My journey into the world of art began with a 24-year career as a professional makeup artist. Immersed in the vibrant worlds of fashion, luxury, and beauty—working alongside renowned couture houses, fashion brands, and MTV—I developed a deep appreciation for aesthetics in all forms.
Over time, my pursuit of beauty evolved beyond the face. Years of working with brushes and studying facial features naturally led to portraiture becoming my primary artistic focus. As an animal lover, painting animals became a close second—each creature offering its own unique expression and spirit to capture.
Moving from the bustling, high-rise island of Singapore to the vast, scenic landscapes of Sweden marked a turning point in my creative inspiration. Surrounded by forests, seasonal changes, foggy mornings, and crisp winter skies, I found myself drawn to the beauty of nature in an entirely new way. These landscapes now play a meaningful role in my work.
Flowers, however, remain my greatest artistic challenge. They push me outside my comfort zone and, though I sometimes feel creatively dyslexic when painting them, I welcome the challenge with determination—I’m confident I’ll master them in time.
In addition to my personal work, I’ve contributed to hotel art projects across Asia and collaborated with interior architects on high-end show homes and property developments. Today, my artistic practice continues to be shaped by a lifelong passion for beauty, form, and expression—whether found in a face, a forest, or a fleeting moment of light.
